I dislike sports.
unrequited blog
Here I am facing my fears and spilling my guts on stage. Something I always dreamed of doing but felt like it was never going to happen. I was really close to telling my professor that I wanted to op out of the showcase and just play as a musician in someone’s band. Perhaps it’s cause I’m in a room filled with talented musicians and singers that I felt inferior. But as the days got closer, I felt the courage to just go do it anyways….

So here you guys go, this song is called, Cold Summer (In the Belly of a Whale). It was loosely inspired off of something I had with a significant other and the movie “Blue Valentine”
Special thanks to the wonderful musicians who have helped me out on this and especially the lovely Kiana on vocals and harmonica and Sophie honnneyyy boo boo for the recording :).
It’s not love if the chords are off. And it’s no song when the love is wrong.
Last week me and my fellow band mates got the privilege to record an original song in our school’s facilities (in case you didn’t know, Citrus is known for their Recording Arts Program, as well as their Performing Arts (music, theatre etc.) ). The instrumentals were done in 2 takes, vocals in 1. There are some things that can be fixed but hey, it was for free. For something that was an all student based project, it sounds really good. Big thank yous to the guys who recorded us. I hope you enjoy.
Back in the 90’s we had a boat in the Philippines that was named after me and my brother. It was called The Reyginald. Granted they mispelled my brother’s name but I can’t help but feel it’s a good thing… it kind of means in some way, KING REGINALD! Nonetheless, I rode it once when I was 6.
