John Mayer| St. Patrick’s Day
Don’t get it twisted or anything but over the past 6 years, my taste for John Mayer’s music deteriorated. It’s nothing against him, it’s just I got into a whole world of music and influences that I ditched this one (plus me learning the majority of his work was an attempt to get girls, I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL! CAN YOU BLAME ME?!). But anyways, listening to his stuff and learning his song did help me when playing Jazz (I was in jazz band in high school and I was getting flack for not learning jazz chords). There was a time where I knew how to play this song in it’s entirety ( I don’t anymore and I admit, I am saddened). But this song always made me think about the holidays he mentions; I used to overplay this song from December-March. I guess now that I’m older, I will drink to this next month.
